Roblox is once again accessible in Kuwait after authorities officially lifted the nationwide ban, following an agreement with the game’s parent company.

The popular online platform had been blocked in the country since August, after the Ministry of Information raised concerns about its impact on children. According to reports from Al-Qabas, the ban was reversed once Roblox’s developers agreed to implement stricter safety measures. These included removing banned words, disabling in-game chat, and introducing new monitoring systems to ensure harmful or inappropriate content doesn’t slip through.
For players in Kuwait, this means you can finally log back in, but with a few noticeable changes. The removal of chat, for example, is a big shift, especially for a game that thrives on social interaction. Officials also confirmed that immediate action will be taken if the developer violates these new conditions, signaling that the platform will remain under close watch.
Roblox has been under heavy scrutiny globally, facing lawsuits, government investigations, and even a fan petition calling for CEO David Baszucki’s removal. On top of that, many creators have voiced frustration over the company’s slow response to safety concerns. For Kuwait, however, the focus has been more cultural. Local media highlighted long-standing complaints that Roblox “contradicts moral values and social customs” and exposes children to violent or inappropriate behavior.
It’s also worth noting that Kuwait isn’t alone in this. Countries like Algeria, Qatar, Oman, Turkey, and China have previously restricted Roblox for similar reasons, and Iraq recently joined the list.
