Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 has sold over 10.3 million units as of September 30, 2025, alongside 20.6 million software sales.
Previously, the Switch 2 recorded six million sales in a single month, with 3.5 million sold within its first four days.

The company’s latest financial update also revealed that the original Nintendo Switch has now reached 154 million units sold, putting it within striking distance of the all-time record held by the PlayStation 2 at 160.6 million. For context, the Switch has already surpassed the Wii and the Game Boy, and it’s now just a hair away from overtaking the Nintendo DS as well. It sold nearly a million units (900k to be exact) within the specified timeframe (Jul-Sept 2025).
On the software side, Mario Kart World has already sold 9.57 million copies, while Donkey Kong Bananza has moved 3.49 million units.
