Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is reportedly making its way to PlayStation 5, marking yet another Xbox exclusive crossing over to Sony’s platform.
According to a report from Polish media citing verified insider Graczdari, the Redmond‑based company plans to offer the game to PS5 players "in the coming weeks," with a release window pointing to November 2025.
If that timing holds, it would mean Sony fans won’t have to wait until the one‑year anniversary of the game’s original launch on November 19, 2024, a date previously suggested by industry insider Nate the Hate (also known as NateDrake). Earlier this year, Nate claimed the PS5 version was planned for late 2025, alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 release.
The upcoming PS5 edition will also be available in physical form, though, as is often the case with Microsoft‑published titles, the print run is expected to be limited.
As for the release date, there are a couple of speculations. Sony is set to appear at Tokyo Game Show 2025 later this month, and some fans believe the reveal could happen there. Others are pointing to a rumored State of Play presentation next week, which is said to focus on Marvel’s Wolverine but could easily squeeze in a few extra surprises.
This move continues a growing trend of Xbox titles making their way to PlayStation. In recent months, we’ve seen Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater join the lineup, while Forza Horizon 5 became a breakout hit on PS5 earlier this year, as Alieana Analysts even called it the console’s best‑selling game by July.
