Sloclap has shared a detailed roadmap for upcoming Rematch updates, aiming to address several of the most requested community features—most notably crossplay, bug fixes, and improvements to matchmaking and ranked play.

Since its launch in June, Rematch has already surpassed the one million sales mark within just five days, and player interest has remained strong. The developers have been actively rolling out patches to smooth over launch issues, including exploit fixes and gameplay tweaks. But there’s more on the horizon.

In a recent blog post, Sloclap laid out what’s next. A new patch is expected during the week of July 21, introducing gamepad input remapping, colorblind accessibility options, and various bug fixes.

Shortly after, a hotfix will follow, specifically improving the netcode. This update is designed to fix critical issues, such as goals being counted even after goalkeeper saves, and incorrect tackle registrations during shooting animations.

One of the major asks from the community—crossplay—is finally happening. According to Sloclap, it’s set to arrive within the next 6 to 9 weeks, alongside a player reporting system to combat toxic behavior. A new ranked queue is also in the works, scheduled for release in a couple of months.

For PC players, mouse and keyboard enhancements are high on the list. An upcoming update will introduce mouse sensitivity settings for tap mechanics and the ability to use WASD as a tap aiming input, offering more control flexibility.

As for competitive team play, Sloclap addressed growing interest in 3v3 and 4v4 ranked modes. While they’re open to the idea, the studio cautioned that launching multiple new competitive queues at once could hurt matchmaking quality. Instead, they’re currently evaluating the development effort required and aim to introduce at least one new mode in the coming months.

Matchmaking improvements are also part of the roadmap, with a focus on reducing queue times while ensuring teams remain balanced.
