Silent Hill 2 Xbox Store Listing Confirms Editions, Pricing, and Bundles

Updated: 10 hours ago

UPDATE 11/22: Silent Hill 2 is now available on Xbox worldwide, and most of the things I predicted in the article turned out to be correct.

Original Story:

Silent Hill 2 Remake has finally made its way to Xbox Series X|S, after months of speculation. The game is now officially listed on the Australian Xbox Store, confirming that fans on Microsoft’s platform will soon be able to experience one of horror gaming’s most iconic stories.

Pricing and Editions

The listing shows two editions available:

  • Standard Edition – $100 AUD (currently discounted to $50 AUD)

  • Deluxe Edition – $115 AUD (currently discounted to $57 AUD)

There are also bundle options that include the recently released Silent Hill f

Prices align closely with U.S. expectations, where the Standard and Deluxe editions are expected to retail for $70 USD and $80 USD, respectively, with 50% discounts likely dropping them to around $35–40 USD once they appear on the U.S. Xbox Store.

One of the most welcome confirmations is that Silent Hill 2 will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title. That means if you purchase it digitally, you’ll be able to play across both Xbox consoles and PC without buying separate copies.

Release Date?

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the Xbox Store has hinted at Silent Hill 2’s arrival. Earlier this month, a listing briefly revealed a November 21 release date before being removed. As of now, no official launch date has been confirmed, but given the store listing, we can expect news soon.

Silent Hill 2 Remake has already proven itself on other platforms. According to Metacritic, the game holds a “generally favorable” score of 86 from critics, while users have rated it even higher at 9.1 based on nearly 4,000 reviews.

On Steam, it boasts a 95% positive rating from over 47,000 players. Sales have been strong too, with Konami reporting 2.5 million units sold worldwide across PlayStation 5 and PC.

The remake’s success has been so strong that Konami confirmed during its June 2025 Press Start showcase that Bloober Team is now also working on a remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill.
